Everyone is screaming to put an end to sex trafficking by shutting down a message board site where anyone with a credit card can post an ad online. Many of these ads have proven to be under aged children in the pictures being promoted out for prostitution. Now who's fault is it really? The person promoting or the person allowing them to post the ads?

Kentucky escorts do not post ads on any message board sites especially backpage. It is by choice since it seems to only attract the wrong kind of clients but what is not good for us is good for someone else.

Whether the section is shut down or not will most likely have no baring on us since the sites attract a different type of clients as well as escorts then what we are used to. However, we do not agree with lawsuits and jail time being thrown out at sites for other people's ads. Craigslist and backpage both had taken on extra precautions to help with under age postings so for them to get persecuted over such is ridiculous.

No one is saying whether these sites are in the right or wrong, but once shutting one down only gives room for more of these sites to pop up and gain exposure. If these sex traffickers are posting ads on these sites where they have to use their credit card information and possibly their drivers license, then what is going to stop them from advertising on their own sites and other escort directories? Without these sites, would sex trafficking exist? Yes! Maybe just not out in the open where the general public can see on free sites that aren't making millions off them a year. So why shut down the section of the site when you are just opening the door for more to peak out and for those traffickers to be more discreet? Would you say that having young pictures of these girls online means an easy bust for police? So what is the issue at hand really? Is it worth shutting it down to make it look like something is being done about it when the proper authorities could easily just use the sites as an easy sweep for catching these criminals? You wouldn't fix a broken bone with a band aid would you?
